A Number of Physical Auction in Seribu Islands Failed

Evaluation and data collection result of Seribu Islands Regency Administration shows that 70 percent budget particularly for physical development are failed on auction.

The budget absorption is low and hampering development acceleration in Seribu Islands

Regent of Seribu Islands, Budi Utomo stated that the physical development is on some Regional Working Unit (UKPD)s thus finally hampers the acceleration of development process.

"It's such a pity that many project failed on auction. The budget absorption is low and hampering development acceleration in Seribu Islands," he expressed, Monday (11/30).

South Jakarta Targeted City Budget Absorbed Up to 60 Percent

According to Budi, he was confused regarding the auction failure, as there is no explanation in detail about it.

"We're going to question Head of ULP as the authority of service and goods matter, what's the principle that it's failed in administration? i hope it could be solved so that it would not hamper the development acceleration process in Seribu Islands," he disclosed.

Some failed projects are from the Water Management Sub-Department related to breakwater development, Housing Sub-Department  related to building construction in Untung Jawa and Karya Island, then from Industry and Energy Sub-Department related to waste processing development, Transportation Sub-Department related to pier and Communications, Informatics and Public Relations Sub-Department related to tower construction.
